I have passion for learning and exploring new and innovative ways of improving the quality of teaching and learning in Computer Science Education. I emphasize more on student-centered approaches to teaching and learning which facilitate active participation in class sessions. This has enabled me to understand students’ learning challenges and to offer solutions to the best of my ability. Most importantly, I collaborate with my colleagues in terms of course allocations, sharing of materials and ideas, and organizing mentoring sessions where non-computer experts (i.e. other lecturers) are coached on basic and advanced ICT utilization in teaching and learning. Furthermore, I have developed various instructional packages for schools such as Mathematical and Statistical Toolkits, Computer Assisted Instructions (CAI) in Sciences, Arts, computer studies, and vocational education.
I am currently in-charge of undergraduate examinations in my department as well as the students’ Industrial Training programme. I have also travelled to Kobe in Japan in 2015 to present a conference paper at the Asian conference on Technology and Learning (ACTL)  as well as attended the 4th International Staff Week at the University of Valladolid, Spain in May 2019.

Integrating innovation into the methods of teaching and learning of computer science education courses in Nigerian Higher education.

I want to represent my country at the IPF because there is an urgent need to reshape the current practices in pedagogy in Computer Science Education to embrace innovation and resourcefulness that will enable students acquire the relevant and diverse skills in Information Technology (IT), which will lead to gainful employment in the contemporary labour market, after graduation. This will help to reduce unemployment as well as contribute immensely to national development. It has been proven that computer-related fields are one of the fasted growing occupations in the world. Computer is the engine that controls virtually all processes in global industries. If students have up-to-date (IT) skills, jobs will be abundant. Therefore, students’ education and training are crucial in meeting these demands.
