In my career as a professional teacher I have achieved a number of accomplishments and the greater among them is that children I teach should be able to write and read. Consider reading and writing to be the key to high quality education. I work hard if I have been given a class to handle at least one a year or to two years’ learners should be able to read and write effectively.  Because of this I have been selected as a school based literacy coordinator.

Generally Zambian education is doing fine in term of education. The reintroduction of the re-entry policy was by a girl child is given chance to complete their education after dropping out from school because of early pregnancy has enabled many girls access education after giving birth in Zambia.

Despite that, Zambian also face some challenges has we implement such methods, techniques and Teaching/Learning Aids.

Therefore, in my Teaching career, I have tried to achieve quality education of my learners by improvising and making, Teaching / Learning aids. For example, visual aids and also audio Aids of different types including other methods such as group work, class discussion, role play, questions and answers, picture discussion, demonstrations etc.

Additionally, use different techniques to achieve my goal such as filled trips, discovery, projects document study etc. I also avoid using lecture method, because a lecture method is not usually suitable for the learners.  Learners need to discover things on there on.  They learn from known to unknown.

• Being a school based literacy coordinator it will be appropriate for me to attend this forum, because whatever I will learn it will be also benefit all teachers and learners at large.
• It is my responsibility to impart the knowledge, attitude and skills to the learners.
• It is for this reason that I must be part of this forum.
• If I attend this forum I will be able to solve long standing challenges, we face us teachers when teaching such as methods and techniques. 
• Having attended this forum, it will help me to capture the latest technological, economic, political and social development in this fast changing world.
• It will be my sincere hope that I will be part of this forum.
