I have over 20 years of experience teaching English to students of all ages, but mainly young adults. For over 15 years I have been an active member of the English Teachers Association of Georgia and a teacher trainer working with both pre-service and in-service teachers. My present position as the Head of the English Philology Department at Akaki Tsereteli State University involves participation in staff development, language teaching curriculum design and improvement of student assessment tools.
I hope the topic of my presentation, which is fully based on my experience as an English teacher, teacher trainer and researcher, will give the Forum participants some new insights and ideas and help them reflect on their practices.
My expectations include learning from colleagues who come from very different backgrounds and bring a variety of experiences to the Forum. I hope to establish new contacts and find new friends.
