1.I think one of my merits is my constant drive towards teacher development , its support and promotion. The result being Head of ETAG Batumi regional branch ( English Teachers' Association of Georgia )
2. The second is directly linked to the first one since I have become an accredited ETAG and British Council teacher trainer which is very important for me since I am a qualified professional who can share her knowledge and experience with other teachers.
3. The third merit is me founding an English Language Centre where I am Director of Studies . I consider it a great achievement since I can plan different strategies independently to focus more on teacher development , guide and encourage the inexperienced teachers towards teaching and development.
I think my contribution will be the topic itself " Supporting teachers via teacher development and building a positive staff culture " . In my presentation , I'll share my experience of how I put this very concept into practice since I am the one who is in favour of "practice what you preach. " As well as that , thanks to the online platform this forum provides, my input to the forum and education will be in the form of constant reflections , sharing resources, piloted activities and follow ups which will involve introducing these novelties to the teachers of my region.
As for the expectations , they are high since it is the forum of the best educators , of best practices where I am sure to learn about new trends and discoveries in education , share my own views , and equip the teachers of the region I live with new ideas , approaches and activities .
