Regarding topics to be possibly talked in the forum, I wish to share about best practices on motivating and helping rural area students to accomplish their study and key challenges I have had with them. Furthermore, collaboration between my university and other
institutions would be discussed so that we can work together in any projects in the future to improve
teaching and learning, in especially my province.
Things I want to learn and raise during the IPF 2019:
I hope to learn the best practices about innovative methods and techniques, as well as how to teach my
students effectively. I also expect to gain contemporary education concepts and issues that shared by
prominent education leaders around the world. In addition, I will look for opportunities to link
between the new methods and techniques to classroom action research in order to tackle the existing
issues remaining in today’s classrooms.
I believe attending the International Pedagogy Forum will extensively enhance my teaching profession and eventually contribute to improving education quality in university as well as in the province I am based upon presently. Being a teacher, I have set goal of becoming a lifelong learner. Therefore, I always find ways to learn and continuously develop myself. Once I am capable I could help my colleagues and students to better improve their skills, knowledge and abilities.
Because of education in Cambodia varies from province to province, students in the town and capital city would receive more quality comparing to those in the province and remote area; and this is the case of my university. Thus, my participation in the upcoming conference will bring positive impact on the education quality and system, particularly on those in the province. Furthermore, through attending the conference I will have an opportunity to learn and exchange experiences and achievements and share best practices I have had with other participants and best educational leaders around the world. I will also have a chance to learn how those contemporary techniques could help students and educational institutions to tackle challenges they have been facing at the moment.
I understand that only continuous professional development would guarantee a sustainable education development in this fast changing world. Adapting innovative teaching techniques and methods to applying in the classroom would help foster teaching and learning and later on contribute to boosting the whole education system and Cambodian economy.
