At the present stage of the development of education in the Republic of Moldova, one of the most pressing problems is to improve the quality of education. In this regard, the general strategy for the modernization of education is focused on ensuring the continuous development and self-improvement of the individual throughout his life. Modernization of education at the present stage is aimed at solving the above problem by optimizing the methods and technologies for implementing the educational process, as well as rethinking the goals and results of education.
At the same time, the global economic crisis is again putting on the agenda the issue of civic engagement and participation and, above all, the social activity of youth. On the one hand, social activity is viewed from the standpoint of protest sentiments and social instability, while young people have always acted as a social group, the excessive activity of which must be stopped and taken under special control. On the other hand, youth ensures the transmission of social relations and acts as a bearer of social innovations, therefore, increasing the social activity of young people during a crisis becomes one of the conditions for finding new forms of social structure. The task of fostering social activity as a significant integrated personality trait is posed and discussed as a priority by various state and public institutions. Social activity is included in the discourse of increasing the competitiveness of the younger generation and is viewed as a factor in the quality of life.
