Contribution:

Technology Enabled Learning

Today’s students represent the first generations to grow up with new technology. They have spent their entire lives surrounded by and using computers, videogames, digital music players, video cameras, cell phones, and all the other toys and tools of the digital age. Therefore, our learners are coined as ‘digital natives’, referring to the generation born from the late 80sonwards. To the Digital Natives – school often feels pretty much as if we’ve brought in a population of heavily accented, unintelligible foreigners to lecture them. They often can’t understand what the Immigrants (teachers) are saying. The purpose of this intervention is to explore the current usage of technology in classrooms to meet the needs of Digital Natives. The intervention will focus on innovative pedagogies being used through Blended and Experiential Learning and as well as making use of innovative technologies to manage classrooms. The sustainable implementation of technology in classroom will also be considered.

Expectations:
  • Have the opportunity to present my innovative pedagogical practices.
  • Broaden the horizon of my pedagogical approach & deepen my understanding on how to improve my classroom strategies further.
