A meeting between representatives of the Organizing Committee of the Global International Pedagogical Forum IPF∙2020 and representatives of the Executive Committee of the Geneva Teachers' Union Jean-Pierre Martinet and Waël Almoman took place on February 14, 2019 in Geneva. One of the main tasks of the Geneva Teachers' Union is to work with the government and parliament at the regional level on school financing. The parties agreed that the problem of education financing by the authorities is the most urgent problem both in countries with a high level of funding, such as Switzerland (up to 25% of the budget), and, of course, in countries with a low level of funding. Representatives of the Organizing Committee of the Global Forum invited representatives of the Geneva Teachers' Union to speak on this topic at the Global Forum and share their experience with the government in protecting the education budget. Also, the Organizing Committee will continue to work in the Swiss Confederation to select the best teachers in the country to participate in the Global Forum.
