I am currently working as an elementary school teacher in Otepää Gümnaasium (secondary school). Besides that I have been the extracurricular teacher of a hobby group of crafts and the teacher of pre-schoolers’ study groups in Otepää Gümnaasium.

The Estonian Association of Class Teachers was founded in April 2011 when there was a need for uniting class teachers all over the country. I am one of the co-founders of the Association. Today the association joins class teachers in Estonia, there are 197 members in the union, me being one of the members of the board.

I would like to represent myself as well as The Estonian Association of Class Teachers at the forum. Being able to participate, I could introduce what the Association does in Estonia and develop relationships with similar unions or organisation from other countries. It would also help me connect with educational organisations outside Estonia or the European Union.

I would share the knowledge gained from the forum with class teachers of Estonia. Class teachers in Estonia are very qualified and students’ results are also at a very high level, but I am confident that participating at the forum I would learn new ways and ideas to make classroom activities and teaching even more diverse.

I would like to participate in the International Pedagogical Forum in Singapur. I would like to help Estonian class teachers feel themselves secure and at ease. I wish to gain new pedagogical knowledge and experience, fresh ideas, skills and approaches from the forum. Being part of the union allows me to share the experience and knowledge gained with colleagues all over Estonia.
